Analogue becomes digital: preserving memories from days gone by
Great-granddad with his first VW Beetle or your grandparents on their wedding day – old photos are a treasure and preserve important scenes from our family history. To ensure that these memories never fade, with the CEWE scan service, you can digitalise your images in just a few easy steps.
It couldn't be easier: First, place your order online at cewe.de or on the website at one of our participating retail partners. Then the analogue image material is sent by post to CEWE, where it is digitalised. Even old photographs, which are sometimes only eight by eight centimetres and have a perforated border, can be scanned. The optional scan of the rear side ensures that any notes, for example names, dates or other information, are not lost. After digitalisation, the originals are carefully packaged and returned. The digital files are available via a download link, on a USB stick or in the CEWE myPhotos cloud. In the cloud, the photos are intelligently sorted and reliably stored.
Delve into history with your family chronicle
So that following generations can get a picture of how things were in the past, too, it’s a good idea to put the scanned photos together to create a printed family chronicle. In a CEWE PHOTOBOOK, there is space not only for photos, but also for scanned documents. Peppered with little anecdotes, it becomes a treasure trove of memories preserved for posterity. If you need help with the design, you can select a pre-created book template from CEWE – all you have to do is add photos and texts.
