Marcel Wildfeuer, Apprentice Industrial Business Management Assistant, Retail Marketing Department
CEWE is always ahead of the pack for me because I get to meet all aspects of a market-leading company that operates Europe-wide.(Marcel Wildfeuer)
CEWE was my dream company when I sent off my applications in 2010. I was familiar with CEWE because of its sponsorship of the EWE Baskets and Vfb Oldenburg teams. It also had a good image and I had a positive overall impression following my visit for an aptitude test and interview. Naturally its proximity to my home is also an important factor.
I am currently in the second year of my apprenticeship as an Industrial Business Management Assistant. Logistics was my first department. Then I worked in our "Tower", Product Marketing, Warehouse, Creditors, Time and Motion Studies, Customer Service and HR Management departments. Since August 2012 I have been in Central Buying and from the start of 2013 I will be working in Online Marketing. I still have to work in Sales and Main Accounts before my project phase in November 2013.
The longer an apprentice works in a department, the more quickly more responsibility is handed to them. Naturally personal abilities also play a key role. Generally I was able to take on responsibility very quickly. I think that it's really great here that you can be promoted in different ways, if that's what you want. I am also studying at a vocational college for my BEC (Cambridge Business English Certificate), and CEWE is financially supporting me in this.
