The CEWE Group

Our working relationships are based on integrity, fairness and responsibility.

History

A man who shaped the company, like no other, stands at the heart of CEWE's history: company founder Senator h.c. Heinz Neumüller. He guided the photographic service provider from being a small lab and retail business in Oldenburg to become a leading European company.

CEWE – a success storyOur roots lie in Northern Germany – our sites throughout Europe.

The CEWE COLOR photo lab in Oldenburg, established in 1961, represents the foundation stone of the CEWE Group today. Following the successful transformation from analogue to digital photo products, alongside photofinishing, we also set up a new division for the online printing of advertising materials. The company has 12 production plants and some 3,400 employees in 24 countries. We supply 25,000 retail customers Europe-wide. CEWE was established by Senator h. c. Heinz Neumüller and was listed as a corporation on the German Stock Exchange in 1993 by Hubert Rothärmel. CEWE Stiftung & Co. KGaA is listed on the SDAX and in 2016 recorded a Group turnover of €593,1 million.
